Transport Trumps

Transport Trumps card - small

There are plans to build hundreds of roads in this country – 200 are already in the Government’s official road building programme.

People want to build a road because they hope it will reduce congestion, cut journey times and make life better for people. But we're not convinced. We think that a road is easily trumped by alternatives that achieve better social and environmental outcomes, and do so in a cost-effective way -- things like good public transport, cycling and rail freight schemes.

What do you think?

We've published a few proposed roads on our website. See if you can trump them.
